Moreno Valley - Assemblymember Dr. Corey A. Jackson invites the media to the inaugural State of the Black I.E. Symposium, a pivotal event dedicated to advancing equity, justice, and empowerment within the Inland Empire's Black community.

Location: Moreno Valley Conference Center
The symposium will feature data-driven presentations and discussions on critical topics affecting the Black community, including:
- Health: Addressing healthcare disparities and improving community wellness.
- Housing: Examining housing inequities and solutions for affordable housing.
- Entrepreneurship: Fostering economic growth and opportunities for Black entrepreneurs.
- Reparations: Discussing the pursuit of reparative justice and historical reconciliation.
Assemblymember Dr. Corey A. Jackson will make a momentous announcement during the event, presenting a $1 million check from the state of California to the Inland Empire Community Foundation's Black Equity Initiative. These funds, allocated in the State Budget through Assemblymember Jackson's dedicated efforts, will be used to support nonprofit organizations in four key areas in the region:
- Youth Engagement: Investing in the future of Black youth.
- Data/Research and Narrative/Storytelling: Advancing knowledge and promoting inclusive narratives.
- Addressing Anti-Black Racism and Mental Health: Combating racism and supporting mental health initiatives.
- Economic Mobility and Access to Capital: Promoting economic empowerment and financial access.
