Veteran: John J. Chavez, Jurupa Valley resident, is a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Korean War with the 1st Cavalry. Mr. Chavez is a life member of VFW 1513351, Post 10267 and a Member of the Jurupa Valley Lions Club. He is the first Latino to serve on the Jurupa Unified School Board, having served on the Board for 33 years.
