Moreno Valley – Assemblymember, Dr. Corey A. Jackson hosted the inaugural LET’S TALK: Community Forum on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in partnership with Moreno Valley College. The event was an opportunity for members of the community to discuss important issues such as addressing systemic racism, increasing child-care accessibility, and mitigating the mental health crises occurring across the State of California.
“It was an honor to host this event and to be able to bring together so many leaders in our community to have an important discussion about the issues that face our state,” said Assemblymember Dr. Corey A. Jackson. “I am grateful to Moreno Valley College for partnering with me to make this event a success and to all of the special guests and members of the community who were able to join us. Together, we are stronger.”
During the community forum, Assemblymember, Dr. Corey A. Jackson outlined his legislative package and committee appointments, including his recent appointment to serve as Chair of the Human Services Committee. In this role, Assemblymember, Dr. Jackson plans to ensure our vulnerable populations across the state of California are provided with the necessary resources to live healthy and productive lives. His introductory bill, Assembly Bill (AB) 11, sets this vision in motion by creating a commission tasked to study California’s rising cost of living and report findings on solutions to combat this adverse trajectory.
