Cervantes Has Six Bills Signed into Law by Governor Brown

(SACRAMENTO) – After her first year representing the 60th District in the California State Assembly, Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Corona) was successful in having six bills signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown.

“I am proud of having these six bills signed into law,” Assemblymember Cervantes said. “They will help move Western Riverside County forward by creating jobs and supporting small businesses, improving our air quality, providing our brave veterans with needed services, and assisting our seniors and their families find long-term care.

“I want to thank Governor Brown for approving these six bills,” Assemblymember Cervantes continued. “I look forward to continuing to fight for the taxpayers of Western Riverside County.”

The six bills authored by Assemblymember Cervantes that have been signed into law are:

  • Assembly Bill 179 helps ensure representation on the California Transportation Commission for the communities most affected by pollution. You can find more information about the bill here.

  • Assembly Bill 1124 allows juvenile school students to take additional courses before graduating to facilitate their applications to college. You can find more information about the bill here.
